Sandy Repper's Jasmine

Today, I have lost my best friend. I was lucky enough to share almost 6 years with her. Jasmine was a special lady, whose big heart and warrior spirit always amazed me. From the second our eyes were drawn to each other, I knew we would be together. Apparently, so did she, for she climbed up my arm and settled herself on my shoulder. She spent many hours on my shoulder, as I did chores around the house, not easy with a fert supervising.

She loved socks and was a thief extraordinaire, but more than the socks, she loved the chase to get them back, 99 % of the time getting them to safety in the hidey hole I couldn't reach and then coming out looking smug. She had her babies (troll dolls), and her pacifier collection she garnered from my grandson. She arranged these every day, counted and guarded them from all sneak attacks. She had a fondness for nutrical, ferretone and an occasional Craisin. She cleaned everyone's ears, they were all dirty, you see. She was alpha ferret and made sure the others knew that, nobody ever argued the point. She taught many children the value of love and kindness. She taught me so many things, and I will miss her yawns in the morning, her nose touches on my ankle, her shoulder sitting and her gentle nose kisses. She enjoyed rearranging the dirt and grass snorkeling.

We've shared many an adventure, some sadness and a lot of laughter. She's been through many trials, but ever the warrior, came through it all. I guess I thought she always would. I know Valentine will meet you and introduce you to Chelsea. You'll like her.

Today my heart aches, for my friend has moved on, and I have lost a special part of my life. Shine down little star, your's is one of the brightest. You'll be in my heart.

In the spring, the full moon shines for the warrior who has lost her way.

        Hi all
It is my day off from meetings and things although I never take a day off from this job. To important dat da little ones get settled in and start on da right paw.

A little girl came in later. She said her name waz Jasmine. She waz met by Valentine and Chelsea. They introduced each other. Then they were interested in da news at home and everything dat had been going on there.

Then they wondered over to da Sock Steal Game to see how many socks dat they could steal. She waz pretty good at it too. Might be one of da best but it would be a close call. We might have to get da champ over here for a challenge. She said to tell her mommy dat she luved her and to send lots of kisses her way.

I am off for more fun in da sun. This acting like a ferret could get habit forming. Gotto go.
